Finally a game for all the musicians out there.... or just the wannabes, and the best of it is its accessible to both beginners as well as advanced players.

The game works as a guitar simulator, whereby you actaully use a guitar shaped controller to play along to your favourite rock tunes, both new and old. The controller consists of five colour co-ordinated fret buttons, as well as a strum, and a reverb button when you want to go crazy.

The screen interface is alot different to maybe what your used to seeing, though in some ways similar to that of other rhythmic game genres, the musical notes run down the screen and you have to make that note on the correct beat, the prospect sounds simple enough but to actually play is extremely entertaining, the system starts with using 3 frets on easy mode, then you can gradually build up your skill until youve become great enough or brave enough to use all 5, and then you can call yourself a fully fledged GUITAR HERO!!!

...............now try a real guitar!!!

When i was first aware they were creating this game my interest in it wasnt very enthusiastic, my opinion was that it was another copy of the rhythmic game genre made famous by the dance mat as well as the eye toy. Though once i picked up the plastic musical instrument i had a hard time putting it back down, the game is anthralling, fun and the concept is original (to a degree). You can expect to find some classic rock tunes including "I Love Rock and Roll", "Stellar", "Ace of Spades" and "Ziggy Stardust" to name just few. Some of which you will have to prove your guitaring skill to aqcuire.

The game consists of league tournaments, aswell as multiplayer options, though this does require a second guitar which can be costly, though i would definatly say it is worth it for the shere joy of having a guitar battle with ur mates. Oh and to add to the fun factor the guitar has a tilt system whereby if youve managed a continuous successful pattern of beats them you can tilt the guitar up like a true rock and roll star and rock out to the extreme to gain multiple amounts of points. But if your just lookin for a quicky, then the game does contain a quick play option so you can get a bit of practice.

The only downside i can give to this game is its complete lack of consideration to peoples sore fingers!!!

My Review - 9/10 - (Cant wait for Guitar Hero 2)

I know and love this game too, although I don't own it so I cannot say I am a rock and roll god. Shame Good review would have liked to have seen images of the screen interface. Does the game have vocals? you need to mention this. You also need to mention the difficulty a bit more (age range etc)as well as a breakdown of the score.

Well done though good review. Oh and good drawings too, try head on and side views, and if you can simplify your line.
